Aircraft Recovery Tour - A visit to Plain Parts

Dennis James is the owner of “Plain Parts” (no, I did not misspell plane) which deals with retrieving planes that have crashed, bringing the remains to his property in Pleasant Grove and works with the NTSB, FAA and accident investigators to perform a plane autopsy of sorts. During the investigations they collect evidence to help figure out what happened to cause the plane to go down. He has some fascinating stories. Our club heard some of these stories in 2017 when we went there for the first time. It was well attended and everyone enjoyed the whole experience.

We will meet in the Safeway parking lot by Starbucks on Lincoln Blvd in the Lincoln Hills town Center at 9:00 am. We will leave promptly at 9:30 am to drive to 5007 Pacific Ave, Pleasant Grove for a tour of the facility given by club member Dennis James. Following the tour, we'll have lunch on-site. Bring your own food, beverages, and utensils. Dennis has a very nice picnic area with tables and chairs that we can use.
